Welcome
to the Valparaiso City Utilities - Water Reclamation Department.
The department's sewer treatment plant provide service to approximately
35,000 customers in the city and outlying communities.
Please
contact our office at (219) 462-6174 extension 0 for any questions
or concerns about your Water Utility bill. Office hours are Monday
through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.. For emergencies, please
call (219) 462-6174 and your information will be forwarded to
our after-hours on-call personnel.
Valparaiso City Utilities (VCU) was a recipient of the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG). A total of $240,160 was approved for activities in Area 4 - Waste Water Treatment Plants. The VCU will be utilizing these funds to install new drives that will control the speed of their high horsepower motors, which will enable the City and the Utilities to save energy and money in the wastewater treatment process.
