Valparaiso City Utilities - Water Department CURB BOX INSPECTIONS

Water Curb Box Inspection

The Valparaiso City Utilities Water Department does not require contractors / builders to contact our office to schedule a water curb box inspection. The department will send a service representative to examine the hook-up ONLY if the contractor / builder calls and requests the inspection.

However, if the service utility representative cannot key the curb box before the water meter is installed, it is the contractor's / builder's responsibility to dig up and repair the curb box. After repairing the curb box, the contractor / builder can contact our office and reschedule the meter installation.

There will be a charge of $25.00 if our service utility representative must return to the scheduled address after the second (2nd) appointment.
