Valparaiso City Utilities (VCU) was a recipient of the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG). A total of $240,160 was approved for activities in Area 4 - Waste Water Treatment Plants. The VCU will be utilizing these funds to install new drives that will control the speed of their high horsepower motors, which will enable the City and the Utilities to save energy and money in the wastewater treatment process. ENHANCEMENTS TO VALPARAISO WATER UTILITIES
The Valparaiso City Council has approved the new rate structures for STORMWATER and WATER beginning in Jaunuary 2010.
